Fall 2014

Dear Friends and Neighbors:
The New Hope Crime Prevention Fund would like to express our appreciation for all of the past support we have received from both individuals and businesses in the New Hope Area! We have taken a year off from our bulk mail fundraiser while awaiting our letter from the IRS reinstating our tax-exempt non-profit status and while working on getting our new website up and running. We are now all set to go and excited to get the word out. Although we have done a few raffles in the past, the bulk mail fundraiser is the primary means for which we raise funds to support Crime Prevention initiatives in New Hope. We have an all-volunteer board which keeps our operating costs very low and allows almost all of our funds to go directly back into crime prevention efforts in New Hope. Some of the programs we currently support include:

  •  D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education)
  • National Night Out/Night to Unite
  • Neighborhood Watch
  •  New Hope Safety Camps
  • New Hope Police Explorer Post
  • Bicycle Safety Programs
  • Car Seat Safety Program
  • File of Life®
  • Citizen Rewards
  • New Hope Police K9

Your contributions are important and appreciated. Donations to the New Hope Crime Prevention Fund are tax deductible under the 501c (3) guidelines of the Internal Revenue Code. The Crime Prevention Fund helps the Police Department and the City of New Hope fund programs to make our neighborhoods safer.
It is due to donations like yours, that the Board was able to contribute $3,000 towards the purchase of a new K9 for the police department in 2013. The Officer Robles, and his K9 partner Kody, now patrol the streets of New Hope to help keep us all safe. So far in 2014, we have provided funds for picnic packs for National Night Out, first aid kits, and other items for Safety Camp, bikes and bike safety equipment for the annual Bike Rodeo, and many items for graduating 5th grade D.A.R.E. students to help remind them of their commitment to remain drug and violence free.
We thank you in advance for your generosity and for all you do to help keep New Hope safe and wonderful places to live, work, learn, and play! If you have questions, or would like more information about our board, please contact any one of the executive board members.

Sincerely,
The New Hope Crime Prevention Fund Board
